You haven’t mentioned any rust through and I’ll assume the door jams are ok. This is what I have done to reshape the top:

1. Take a sledge hammer and hit the crease points from inside the cab to drive the roof back up. Most of the time it will take its form again after working it up hitting the points. And yes, it does take a sledge.
2. Once you get the major dents back up, use a hammer and body tools to work out the smaller dents.
3. Once the roof is reshaped and looks and feels pretty good, you can do one of two things, finish with bondo, or paint with a flat paint and work out high and low areas with hammer and body tools, repaint, do the same until cab dings are out and looks and feels good.
