Erich,

What part of Los Angeles do you live in?

Ever taken a Ferrari off-road? Of course not because it is the wrong vehicle for the task.

The same applies for making a Power Wagon a daily Los Angeles Freeway commuter. By the time you modify the vehicle with new engine, tranny, brakes, rear end, tires, lights, etc, you no longer have a real power wagon. It would be much easier (and cheaper) to buy another vehicle more suited to your lifestyle. Your rear end will thank you. I completed a 900 mile trip last April in a Power Giant and it was not nearly as fun on the freeway as I thought it would be. Even the cement trucks were passing me. And its noisey. Really noisey.

I am glad to see you like the truck, but don't try to make it something its not. Ride around with someone who has one first.

Have you looked at the Power Giants from Dodge? They are not flat fenders, but they are Power Wagons. But even the Power Giants have the same problems with brakes, gearing, etc.

Best Wishes
Lonnie in Los Angeles
