I am new to repair types and their value/performance. I located a cab I was interested in with all the factory AC system still connected and working for a 77 custom 200 I want to rebuild and give to my son. the cab is in very good condition except for a couple of small holes in the floor. One of the previous owners had taken fiberglass and basically covered the entire floor pan areas of the driver and passenger side doing a very good job (in my opinion) however from underneath you can still see the holes, the metal underneath not having been covered with fiberglass.
My question is, will having the interior floors covered with fiberglass be a problem in the future? can/will water be able to get inbetween the metal and glass and thereby accelerate decay? What can be done to the bottom of the cab to stop further decay if I were to buy this cab?
