I agree with Todd. I put Mobil 1 in my old Honda at about 180K miles, and it started leaking oil on the ground. Something about smaller molecules. After that, even after I switched back to regular oil, the car has leaked. Not much, but enough to be annoying. Now has 250K and going strong. A friend of mine told he has seen synthetic oil find its way right through porous castings of trannys and diffs.
What I'd like to know is, up to what mileage is it recommended to start using?
