Jolly Good Show! I just have 2 more suggestions. Make sure your tranny is cooled way down. It's the heat that kills them (even the TH400s) and hauling generates alot of heat. There's lots of options for cooling the tranny. The other is "breath in, breath out". Open up your intake with a healthier intake manifold and/or a modified (large throat) TBI, and exhaust with headers. I've got close to 200k miles on this engine ('89 K2500 Suburban) & this puppy is still running strong! It's my family stationwagon... no flaming please, I use it to haul my FF :)
