Cab Alignment Help Needed

I am trying to put a '49 WDX cab on a '62 WM300 frame, using the transmission tower and rear cab mount holes as a guide, because those are original. I can't use the front holes because I have cut out and replaced the steel on both sides there, and I am trying to drill the holes for the mounting bolts. The throttle shaft that crosses across the rear of the bh is hitting the firewall, and I can't seemed to get the cab lined up right to fit the rear holes. Any suggestions? Thanks
