Joel,
I'm quoting from the TM 9-8031-2 (Power Train) reprint that I bought from VPW.

1.)Remove 1/4 x 2 1/8 Woodruff key from front end of drive shaft. Remove burrs from area of keyway in drive shaft.
2.)Remove 5/16-18NC x 3/4 cap screws, drive shaft oil seal retaining plate and drive shaft plate gaskets from housing.
3.)Force front drive shaft bearing cup and drive shaft from housing with an arbor press.
4.)Pull front drive shaft bearing cone from drive shaft with a puller.
5.)Force drive shaft and rear drive shaft bearing cup from PTO housing with an arbor press.
CAUTION: Removal must be handled in this manner to prevent brinelling the bearing cups. Do not use a hammer.
6.)Press rear drive shaft bearing cone from drive shaft.

Shaft diameter (new).8745-.875"
Wear limit - .8735"

Manual has some guidelines on re-installation. Ask if you need this info.
