Hi Joe,

You should hear me chuckling here. It's a flathead. When you mill the head all you are doing is squashing down the combustion chamber. The bore is fairly irrelevant especially at the 1/16" difference you may have in bore diameter specks. Angels dancing on the head of a pin. If you want to raise the compression on that old head mill it! Double check to make sure all else is the same as these are from two different block series. Not having one around here to check I can't say. Lay them side by side.

Lets cut to the chase here. You want that cast in "SPITFIRE" and 6 little lightning bolts running out in six different directions. On a silver motor and Spitfire painted in bright red is real "cool" or perhaps in your truck gold and silver.

I got a 250 spitfire head around here that I am going to slap on my next 237 project. Just cause I like the cool "Spitfire" and lightning bolts.

Jackson
