but due to the great variations in gauges, it is better to compare all cyls- looking for weak ones- than to put much faith in how many pounds it has. Just be sure to crank it until the gauge stops climbing in each hole, NOT 'three turns' or whatever, you want the max reading from each cylinder for consistency. A good motor will have all cyls within 10 percent of the highest one- all above 85 if the high one is 95.
