Riveting

What's the best way to apply small solid rivets rivets found in some of the FF accessories (i.e. heater, headlights, etc...)? Is there a mechanical or air tool that works better or should it be done by hand with a hammer and a punch? Anyone have any experience with this, I am rivetless. Thanks!
