It is just as easy to mount a PTO on the T-case as it is on the transmission. Just make sure you have enough room and that the bolt holes and tooth count/pitch match up to the case. I have a Chevy tow truck with a TH400 and a married 205 that I put one on and it works really well. It even has some advantages in that you can select PTO speed with the transmission selector (D,1,2)and not use a hand throttle. You can also reverse the PTO direction when you put the tranny in reverse. The T-case selector has to be put in neutral. It does not power out and I have had the front wheels off the ground where the truck itself is the limiting factor in how much you can pull. I bought the PTO unit from the local driveline shop for about 165.00 and it dropped right in. Good luck.
