Worked for a dodge dealership for 15 years on the only weigh station on the smugglers highway to mexico, us 59, used to help run vins, recover frame numbers, remove gastanks hidden compartments, etc for the dps that came into dealership on a hook, also inspected cars for stickers, parts manager mechanic bonded buyer at dodge dealer auctions, repoed cars for dealership, filled out the title transfers ordered new trucks returned parts to factory etc, tried to buy truck from guys on this forum from here but they have no titles on some of them, they think it is a joke to obey the law, good ol boy club rules, ever try to buy titled ffpw from out of state or on the web? Drop you when you ask for title a lot, they want you to avoid it like they did, heavy equip is worse as no title only bill of sale, big thing to do was haul ass with dozer across the mexican bridge to sell it, corrupt bridge officals used to be easy to bribe, Mexico is known as land of the Morrida, the bribe, spill overs across the border mentality, lots of cars, trucks end up accross the river every dau still, big business, thats why the knowledge on crooked titles and swaping, sometimes they brought them back before they made it to mexico and we had to figure out what they did to car or truck, worked on a ranch next to biggest drug busting checkpoint in texas, us 77 at premont, ate with the officers who had to work the station every day and got to hear see a lot of stuff they pull on them, he who travels lightest travels alone.
