Dan is correct. I'm not even from the US, but I can tell you that virtually all states & provinces are the same...you give title to the new owner & sign the title...he too signs the title in one form or another & the seller keeps a copy. This is the reason that as a seller it is important to make the purchaser sign the title...many will try to avoid signing so they can re-sell without the hassle & cost of titling the vehicle in their own name. Jonas has handled this sale exactly as one is supposed to sell a vehicle & even though on the DMV computer the truck is still shown as Jonas's...he has the paperwork to prove otherwise.....that's the good news.
The bad news is that it can still land you in court & cost thousands in legal fees, so hopefully they just find the damn thing...how hard can it possibly be to find?
