No one said Jonas was in the wrong, but i can tell you this, if that truck was stolen and the plates are not correctly tagged a very good case could be made that the truck could have been recovered quicker, plus who does own the truck when it was stolen, but not for the tags still in old owners name. I never said jonas is liable, but he can be sued and have a large legal bill straightening this out. Point is again, use the title to transfer ownership so you are not liable the minute you get paid, what exactly post are you refering to about the deceased owner, your are grossly mistaken if you think someone without a power of attorney can walk in a tax office and run a title and transfer it to anybody ever, you have to have legal autority to operate, what if every heir say there are 50 do the same, will they cut the truck up with chainsaw woody? That is why ever person must go thru probate when they die, to carry out the estate untill all bills and income, assets are disposed of acording to the probate law and the will if any that rules the estate. The snowcat may or may not have a title, but rest assured woody i will find out for you so you can be sure, what state are you from, how are titles transfered there, please send me one and i will put it on oddball site if u are in another state.
