have you load tested the battery. often you can have a battery that tests ok but has a bad cell. the extra juice of the starter makes the voltage drop and causes probs. i had this happen with a newer battery in a tractor. was frustrating as hell. gordon is right about parts being bad in succession. dont assume anything. i once wrestled with my m37 for three hours because it wouldnt start after changing points plugs & rotor. truck would not fire. i went over it and over it. turned out that i had been so careful to hook up the plug wires and the venting plumbing, that i forgot to plug in the lead from the wiring harness. (you cant see it from the top. i only found it out when i removed the dist a second time to change the points again. dumbass. leave the truck alone for a while and get back with a fresh start. good luck, manny
