1st, check float level. If is it low it had to pull fuel further to start. Does the engine do nothing while you crank but fire AFTER you release the key? If so, Ignition switch or ballast resistor is bad. check the switch first. Is it electronic ignition? The brains go bad and don't want to fire for love or money when cold but will start with carb cleaner or starting fluid and run fine thereafter. replace the module on the firewall with a new one if that's the case. Do you have a good hot spark at the plugs when cold but it isn't firing? Check your idle jets to see if they'e clogged. Does the accelerator pump give a good squirt when the pedal is pushed, key off? If not, pull the accelerator pump and, if leather, replace or s-t-r-e-t-c-h out to where it fits the pump cylinder tightly. Check carb base bolts for tightness in cold weather as you may have an airleak under the carb. I have a '66 I don't even need to choke down to about 20º....
