i think that adding ac to the power wagon would be a plus. eventually i will get around to getting a hard cab pw or a wc53 carryall (maui dave are you listening). either truck will be modified for occasional driving to work (18 miles). i will do an engine conversion or beef up a 251-265. i will add disc brakes & power steering. my justificatin for adding a vintage air system gives you not only ac but vastly improved heating and defrost. i would duct it in a non butchering manner, employing military style switches etc. i have a bone stock command car to satisfy the purist in me (shoot me it does have discs) and the pw or carryall i get will satisfy the need to drive one of these great dodges on a more frequent basis. the truck i start with for a modified driver will most likely be not orig or complete to start with so there wont be much harm in tasteful mods. i will most likely get a lower priced flatbed and get a dave maher bed and repro tailgate. maui dave's carryall was modified beautifully by michael johnson, the previous owner and it adds to the trucks usefulness.

the ac topic is a good one as even if you dont want air conditioning. the real wheelers on the page can learn how to mount an ac compressor to air up tires & lockers.

has anyone mounted this type of compressor on their flathead??
