Loose steering arm

During a check of the steering parts of my WM300 I found the steering arm to be loose. Three of the bolts that attach it to the knuckle were backed out about 1/2 turn allowing it to move back and forth when the steering wheel was turned. There is also play in the joint between the arm and the idler rod that connects it to the pitman. I'm going to order a new arm from VPW this week. Is this common?? Should I use lock tite on the bolts?
