FF door hinge pin

I've been trying to remove the door pin hinges on my 48 B1. These are the ones on the outside of the door about 3 inches long and look like carriage bolts. I've been trying to tap them out from the bottom threaded end part. They won't budge. Do they get stuck or is there something I don't know? Am I removing them the right way?
