I think you're going to need both. Use the gas outfit to cut and weld, but You'll prefer the mig for quick easy welds. I was always a gas/ stick welder until I bought a mig welder last Christmas, well I'll tell you I'd never go back to gas welding thin sheetmetal. It's so quick and easy and you get alot less warpage. My next toy will be a plasma cutter which is hard to beat also. My 02
