Gas welding P/W metal is very easy if you're a good gas welder, but if not...stick with the Mig welder.
Most metal fabricaters that have spent their lives working metal prefer gas welding & can do a far superior job with Acetylene than you'll ever do with a Mig welder. Vintage vehicles in general have such thick sheet metal that unless you've never gas welded before, it's as easy as it gets.
Mig welders were invented to minimize the amount of heat & warpage that's caused if you're a poor gas welder & they do a good job even in the hands of a beginner.
