Check firing order - 153624. All honest folks on this forum will admit to getting the plug wires on in the wrong order at least once in their many years. Truck runs, but not well. Just a thought since you said you replaced the spark plug wires.
Also, it is possible to have the timing almost a whole plug off when replacing a distributor.
I've worked on Chrysler flathead sixes since 1958 and I admit having done both - in this century.
