Listen to Paul, it will take you weeks and still not be a very good job. I'm sure that you could find a shop to blast it for under $200 and be done with it. Check out my photos of frame work.

It was done in a day and then off to be painted. (powder coated) The main thing is to get protection on it the SAME day, otherwise it will begin oxidizing right away.
