The answers below are a good guideline, however you did not mention two important things about the trailer, 1) does it have brakes?, and 2) are you using an equalizer hitch? The guidelines given below are good, if you are an experienced trailer hauler you can get by with a smaller tow vehicle ONLY if you have good trailer brakes, a proportioning contoller and an equalizer. Remember, not only are you faced with being able to start, pull and accelerate, but also once to speed, you'll need to be able to safely manuver and stop in a panic situation.
Err on the side of caution and get the proper equipment.
