and we all know what horrible things their country was involved in in WWII but that doesn't mean that we should carry that hate and be prejudice against their culture, religion, skin color, or mistakes made, lord knows we as people all do things we regret, but nothing justifies racial prejudice and I would hope after September 11 we would all be a little more tolerant(funny word isn't it? almost as if you hate somone/something much you can hardly stand it,what a sad statement about our culture that that word is used so often and considered PC) i am proud of you for standing up to a very sheltered, ignorant little man. he has no idea what he's missing out on. i personally have been interested in the oriental cultures for years, my father speaks chinese, i am actively involved in the martial arts, etc. and my fiancee is what i've always dreamed of(plus she LOVES my Power Giants!) and think of what i'd have missed out on if i made a blanket judgement on the japanese as a society, but as anyone I have been guilty of saying less than nice things as well about one culture or another, and don't claim to be perfect. i guess all we can do is pray that this man will have an epiphany one day and realize why you told him to turn around, i don't blame you one bit for not pointing it out, that would have just inflamed him and the situation, i think you did the right thing. so off the soapbox now, just stick with your guns, and your gut and you won't go wrong!
