Yes, the man has a right to his beliefs, but Galen (or anyone else) has the right to decide not to do business with this man.

I don't recall seeing any mention of a contract. And yes, we all like to think that we should be able to follow through on our agreements with just a handshake instead of a contract, just like in the good ol' days, but when you see the writing on the wall, and you know you will end up having to deal with someone who is so offensive or opposite to you in his beliefs, why should you subject yourself to dealing with somebody like that? This was not just a matter of buying an object from the guy and walking away. This was a matter of having to be around the guy for an extended period, while he would probably spout off his racist crap much of the time, unless Galen would have been able to get him to shut up about it.

Also, some of you guys seem to think that Galen called him a racist only because the man used the word "nigger", but to me it sounds like the man said much, much more than just that. There's only so much a person wants to hear, and Galen drew his line, probably at about the same place I would have drawn mine.
