You can get differant "rust converter" products from such places as EASTWOOD, I usually sand-blast or wire brush the best I can, and then apply a treatment of phosphoric acid, ( available at automotive paint and parts stores ) you flush with water and dry and paint a decent primer on. Sometimes it is not perfect in the long run, but it works the majority of the time. Tom
