need advice on 727 tranny!

the tranny on my 74 W200 is giving up the ghost,it wont manually downshift,it goes into drive at low rpms,it occasionally shudders badly,it sounds horrible going into reverse,and when put into nuetral,it sometimes locks up! ive got a chance to pickup a 75 D200 reasonably priced,will the 2wd tranny fit my truck since ive got a divorce mounted 205 T-case,BTW both trucks are 318's,any help greatly appreciated!
