There was a Power Wagon at the Fairfield rally several years ago that was fitted with an M-series bed, and it looked quite good.

Had I only considered the idea without seeing it, I might have thought it was a bad idea. Yes, it is a bit short, but it looked pretty good, really, and, for someone who has no bed, it would not be a bad thing. Just my opinion....

When the truck is painted all one color, it looks as if it could have been original.

There are lots of M-series beds. Another thought, given the simplicity of the sheetmetal, it would not take that much to lengthen an M-series bed to be correct length, or nearly so. Then, do the entire bed floor in new material. It would look properly utilitarian.

I also think it would be neat to lengthen the cab of an M-37, to get more legroom, and perhaps make it an extended cab, meaning space behind the seat. Some of you have cab tubs behind your garage. You can spend some time with a bottle of Pepsi, leaning against it, thinking about that.....
