It's a M105 or the like. Designed to be towed by 2.5 ton truck, or larger; 9.00X20 tires; load capacity is 1.5 tons. Load capacity ratings on military vehicles is off-road; on road rating would be 33-100% higher. Obviously, 3/4 ton doesn't overload an M37. The ratings are probably where off-road performance begins to degrade. For wood-getting, I wouldn't tow the trailer full of green birch 100 miles (well, maybe I would...) but typically I only have to go 2-4 miles. Before I got my M37 running with the new drivetrain, I used to tow my M101 trailer (3/4 ton rating) with my BJ40 Landcruiser, with its' fire-breathing 3.0L 4cyl naturally aspirated diesel (rated at 80HP, 141 ft-lb).
