this is a little unrelated but i recently scored a
nice old mercedes that had a vaccuum hose problem.
they had rebuilt the carburator & when they started
the motor the first time, it seized. I picked it
up very cheap for parts. I then found that the windshield
washer hose was connected to the carb. I pulled the plugs,
dried things out & began driving it to work daily.
It smokes a little, must have rusted some but I'll
bet I get years of service out of it. Now you know
what hose not to plug onto your carb.
