Hi Chris

Heads should exchange and fit alright. Watch for the water pump... it may be different between a car engine and a truck engine particularly the M-37....also I found that some truck engine had an additional water passage near the firewall.... you need the proper gasket to do a good job. On a fishing trip I blew a head gasket and the only part store in that back wood community had old second hand gasket from God knows what.... we got by plugging the extra water passage with a wooden dowel carved from a very dry broom handle.... never leaked.

You might want to watch out on the inside parts.... some have single sproket drives on the crank and cam... the better ones... trucks... have a double chain.... gears are usually removable to fit a HD double chain. Finally the oil pump maybe different if coming from a M37 ... the drive tang is offset were it joins from the pump to the distributor.... make sure the pair matches..... and the oil pans can be shaped differently from car to pick up to 4x4.

There may be other areas..... the other guys will fill you in ......have fun.
