I have been thinking of converting my c-1 1954 to 12 volt system. The 6 volt works fine for lighting ect, but is not so great for starting. I would like to keep the lighting and igintion system 6 volt so i don't have to mess with the distributor or lights. Has anyone heard of a duel voltage batt? (two positive poles one 6 one 12) I read it in another forum that there is such an animal. I tried looking one up on the web and had no luck. Could you please give me an address? If I could fine a batt like this all i would have to do is hook the starter and alt to the 12volt side. The rest of the electrical system could stay 6 volt. I could get rid of generator.If anyone else has an opinion on using a duel voltage battery or not please feel free. Thanks for your time
