I finally got the winch from my parts truck mounted on my driver ('68 WM300) and I would like to know how to operate it. I think I know, but, I would rather be sure. A brief description would be appreciated, along with any helpful hints. By the way can someone measure the length of their chain and the diameter of the links. I am curious what was original since mine was missing and the cable has been replaced w/ 1/2" cable. I will be using the winch for work on ocassion so I made sure that the chain I used was good for at least 10,000 pounds. What should I use for a shear pin? I put a 5/16" grade 2 bolt in.
