Take 1 early 60's truck bellhousing, the one's that have the bolt&dowel holes for all 3 eng.'s,the 318,slt/6,and flat6.It also has 2 sets of trans. holes,1 for 3spd and 1 for 4spd. Make a custom BH support to keep orig. pedal,to push small mastercyl.,to activate the hyd. throwout bearing(not slave cyl.) that hopefully will eliminate those nasty conv. linkage problems. The orig. P.W. eng. mount will need to be notched to clear the timing chain cover. Has anyone tried a (now chrys.)258 inline-6 ? Hope my 2cents helped . GOOD LUCK!OH YEA! I forgot to say that the v-8 BH is 1" longer than the P.W. BH so you'll need the longer input shaft or the420 w/it.
