Check with elevator (for people) repair companies, they routinely replace elevator cables before they start to show wear. No-spin elevator cable is great on winches, too. It resists twisting on the spool much better than right hand or left hand lay cable. My guess is that you could get free or nearly free cable from the right elevator repair company.
