There is absolutely no chance that you can fully restore a 1967 WM300 for $26,500.
Many have sold for more than this but it fully depends on the quality of the restoration. I've seen trucks sell for over $20,000 that need another $20,000 spent on them. If you were to buy a truck that was a nice original old rust free Power Wagon...dosn't matter what year, you cannot restore this truck for less than $20,000...& that's assuming you're going to do a huge majority of the work yourself for free.
If you take your truck to a bodyshop & have it painted properly to #1 condition standards, it will cost you $10,000 minimum & that's provided that you have supplied a rust free truck. Start working with an average condition body with some rust & dents & you could double that easily.
If you've spent less, you've either done it yourself or you do not have a show quality Power Wagon that looks like it did when it came off the assembly line, that's the bottom line.
Anyone that has restored vehicles knows exactly what it costs to do them. Those that have not usually don't have a grasp of what is entailed.
Everyone has different standards & there's certainly nothing at all wrong with driving a $5000 original Power Wagon around town. If you want a #1 condition truck, Paying the $30,000 or so to buy it is the least of your worries...you'll have to find one & then get in line to buy it if it's been done right.
