Unless you are really a good welder, you will burn through with stick on thin wall pipe. You want Mig. I used to have all Lincoln Welders. I bought a 255 Powermig
last year. The drive system failed so much feeding .023 wire that they gave me the option for an even trade for a Miller 250. It has never failed. Welder Brands can bring on some serious Brand Loyal discussions. Almost equal to the Crusades. The main thing is to purchase a MAJOR Name Brand, and buy larger than you ever think you will need. It won't be long until you want to weld heavier materials.
