Picked up a 251 engine that should be rebuildable a few months ago. When I picked it up from the salvage yard it had a transmission attached to it and the bell housing. Looks like it would bolt right in. I talked to the owner who sent it to the salvage and he told me that it was a 5 speed and that he thought it was from a 1 ton Dodge. Does anyone know anything about a 5 speed?
The only unfortunant thing is that it does not have a PTO so I don't know if it would ever be of any use unless there is another way to run that winch. Howevor I curious what the gears in that thing would do... possible some faster speeds?
