Here in the Southern California City of El Segundo, the city is being sued because a kid was laying down on his skateboard while traversing (street lugeing?) a local busy store parking lot. He got run over and killed by a truck backing out of a parking space. The driver was sick about it and is being sued too. The city is being sued because they did not built a skateboard park for this youth.
We all know of kids that didn't make it through the "growing up" years. Its tragic and painful. I know that pure dumb luck has saved me more than once from some stupid decisions I have made. I guess the difference is that now days we need to have someone else to blame it on.
I have heard that the United States has 80% of the worlds lawyers and California has 50% of the lawyers in the United States.
They are like nuclear weapons, you have to have one if the other guy has one and pray that you don't need to use them.
