Hi joel,
You'll notice the other posts used MEDIA to blast their sheetmetal, NEVER use sand on sheetmetal, you lose/damage material and it's unsafe, and media just plain does a better job, Save your sand for blasting concrete and re-bar.
There are several products specifically made for the restoration of vehicles. Talk to some qualified local shops, ...and please do not use sand.
