I'd cut the tube at the hole, pinch the two ends over and solder them. To check for leaks: Build a 4'X 4' box out of 1"X8" boards with no bottom or top. Put a tarp in it and fill it with water from the hose. Hold the two openings on the radiator shut with your hands with an air hose & nozzle in one hand, submerge radiator and look for air bubbles.
