I see no appeal in what you are proposing. I have a repowered Carryall but it is stock from the transmission back and all the body was kept as close to stock as possible. I have added a few saftey features such as disk brakes. Why put it on a frame and running gear that can not come close in strength and durability as the original. If your woried about roadability my Carryall goes down the freeway at 70MPH with no problems. It tracks very well, I can let go of the steering wheel for a 1/4 mile and still be in the same position in my lane. It rides fairly well, better than I thought it would. How did this happen. I went through and rebuilt the entire suspension system and replace all worn steering parts. I replaced all axle bearings all spring bolts and pins and all repated bushings. The suspension and steering are all nice and tight and it drives like it. I did put disk brakes in to overcome that old technology and it stops well now.
