Does it stay in gear?
I've been having problems with the Dana 20 in my '72 Bronco. It growled a little and kept poping out of 2H. I swapped the whole case for another used one. Now it growls a little and keeps popping out of 2H. I replaced the shift detents, but that didn't matter. I've been driving it in 4H with the hubs unlocked.
I suppose I'll put all new bearing in the first one and try it again.
