Remove the small pipe plug over number 6 cylinder, insert a small diameter rod into the hole until it hits the top of #6 piston, rotate the engine until the rod is the low point and mark the rod. Rotate the engine until the rod is at the high point and mark again. The distance between the marks is the stroke. Don't forget to reinstall the pipe plug with a good sealant. This is the only sure way to tell the stroke of your engine because some have had different cranks installed during rebuilds. I hope this helps.
