I dropped of a big 5 speed trans. (it's way to big for anything smaller than a 2.5 ton truck!) But I found a couple of cool trucks. I found a ex forest service '68 W200 with the rare 19.5" rims. I bought the rims, the rest of the truck looked pretty beat.
I have a question on the axles though, The door tag gives no size or gear ratio, it just says "spec", I take that to mean special. I wonder if they have limited slip diffs? How to tell? I do know that the front axle is the 3000lb capacity axle by looking at the knuckles. I could probably pick them up if someone needed them.
I also found a decent '48-'50 1 ton pilot house truck. They want $700 for it, but it has no title and no glass, missing a few parts, but the 9' bed and tailgate are in gerat shape. They wont part it out, all or nothing. I dontknow much about the PH trucks, are they valueable like the PW's?
