I took this photo about 12 years ago of a fellows truck at the Patterson MVCC meet. This idea just will not die. He spent a lot of money and time on these wheels all for naught. It was an absolute disaster as this truck was totally uncontrollable. He had to quit after a few minuets and declare it a complete failure. True he did not have power steering installed with his Chevy V8 but even if he had power steering he admitted it still would have been a failure as nothing else would have survived the additional stresses for very long.
At a very rare moment of extreme circumstances briefly and only briefly the impossible can be successful. At that rare moment quick and dirty I can see attaching 1/2 ton WC 750x16 wheels as the outer wheels if you have the Budd dual nuts and wheels handy. Otherwise let it die and go with the single high flotation tires.
