This is for my 1960 CJ5, but since I also own a '67 W300 I figured you wouldn't mind.
I'm looking for some new tires for the Jeep.
Something which I can keep on all year, but which are very good in snow. I'm not concerned about how well they ride on dry pavement because I don't drive it much. But I do some plowing with it and like to use it in the snow. I like the looks of 7.00 x 16 NDTs on older CJ5s, but many have said they aren't very good in snow and on ice.
I'm looking for 7.00 x 16 or 7.50 x 16 (tube-type). Firestone has what they call a "Knobby" tire, 6.50 x 16, that some on the Jeep forum have said is excellent, but I'd like something a little bigger.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
