Andy, It sounds like you have a full time drive transfer. If this is the case, then with the front drive shaft removed you will need one of the lock (Hi Lock or Low Lock) positions to move the truck. This is because of how the differential gears that are in the transfer case work. They work just like an open differential in either a front or rear axle. I would suggest trying to adjust the transfer case shift linkage (should be two rods) first. If you cann't find either of the two lock positions this way, then it might be something inside the transfer. Robert
