how to tell the difference from a non syncro np420 and a syn

i have a np420 with pto that has the numbers c-91917 and 12-19-56 cast on the top cover and would like to know if this is a syncro tranny. my truck is a 1957 flat fender i think. the numbers on the frame are rusted away. thanks dave
